off-topic: Now that I finally got into the college I wanted (best Pharmacy one in Romania), I can be more active and participate in my usual blog hops. Yay!
Q: What do you do with your books after you are done reading them?
I usually read at night, before going to sleep, and if I'm close to the end and it's not a school day next day, I try to finish the book. So, obviously, I got to sleep after I finish it. But if it's a weekend or holiday and I finish it in the middle of the day, I either stare at the book for a few minutes, not believing andregretting the story has ended, or immediately jump to the next book.
What about you?

Q: Give us a sneak! What are you reading? Tell us about a fun or fail scene in your current read.
I am currently reading "Shadow of Night" by Deborah Harkness, the second book in the "All Souls" trilogy. I loved the first one very much and it seems this one won't be dissappointing me either. So far, I really had fun reading the interactions between the poets and scientists from the School of Night. I can't believe how well Matthew de Clermont's character fits the profile of Matthew Roydon, in reality associated with the School of Night too. :) Deborah is a genius!

Q: If you could hang out with any author (living) who would it be and what would you want to do?
The list would go on forever. I would love to be around J.K. Rowling (my all time favourite), Naomi Novik or Joseph Delaney. I think I'd have a lot to learn from then and good time would be guaranteed - at least for me. I'd even be thrilled to just look at them! However, I'd have a lot more fun with Peter Koevari, whose friend I'm very happy to be though we've never seen each other (epic distance between us). I think chatting face to face would be awesome, or maybe playing boardgames? Yeah, I'm proud to be *that* kind of girl. :)

Q: Have you ever read a book that you thought you would hate -- ? Did you end up hating it? Did you end up loving it? Or would you never do that?
It pains me to admit that the book which fits this description is the first book of my all time favourite series - Harry Potter. It was gifted to me by my father when I was in the second grade. I remember picking it up three times and dropping it because I couldn't enjoy it at all. Then my mother started reading it together with me, even though I knew very well how to read, and I ended up loving it after three chapters, and reading it by myself, then desperately waiting for the sequels. It's how my love of fantasy was born. :)

Q: Tell us about the most emotional scene you've ever read in a book - and how did you react?
I used to cry quite often when I was reading, but lately I haven't discovered many emotional books. However, one of the most emotional scenes I've ever read in a book was actually the ending of "Notes from Ghost Town" by Kate Ellison, and I've read this at the beggining of February. If I have to be honest, a lot of scenes from that book touched me, but it's the ending that brought me to tears. I would love to describe what exactly happened, but I don't want to spoil the book for you. If you're interested, please read my review of it.

Q: What is your guilty pleasure as far as reading? Is it a genre, or is it a certain type of book?
I don't think I've ever felt guilty for liking a book, and I see no reason why I should have. Yes, there may be a few books (like the "House of Night" series) for which I have mixed feelings (something in between like and dislike), but I've never thought "This book is so bad, yet I like it." or anything similar. I think, when it comes to reading, that people should just enjoy the act, and not stop to think whether the book deserves your attention or not. I've come across awesomely written books that I couldn't seem to like, and some who may have benefited from improvements in writing style that I've really had a good time reading. :)

Hi! Welcome to In My Mailbox, a weekly meme where I show you what books I bought and received in the last days. To find official information like how to participate or why it was started, check the official IMM page!
This week I haven't got any physical book. I'm waiting for a ton of them, and for some reason they are delaying. I sure hope they haven't been lost in the mailing process. But I did fill my Kindle with six new ebooks. Five of them are Amazon freebies by Alexia Purdy that I posted about this week, and the other is the second novel in a Fantasy series (I already owned the first book, though I haven't read it yet.
Here are their covers, some more beautiful than the others. Feel free to admire them.
What have you bought or received this week? :)

Q: What is a book you didn't like that all your friends raved about or what book did you love that wasn't popular?
I found myself a few times in the position of not liking a book that my friends and anybody else loved. For instance, I couldn't quite enjoy "Shatter Me" by Tahereh Mafi because of the excesive use of striking and metaphors. Another book that I really dislike was the third book of House of Night, which even made me stop wasting my time on the series. I liked, but wasn't as excited as everyone was by the Twilight books. There may be more, but these came into mind.

Q: Confess your blogger sins! Is there anything as a newbie blogger that you've done, that as you gained more experience you were like -- oops?
I am usually very careful when I decide to do something new, so I make sure I read the rules as many times as I feel that I need to until I understand completely what it is I am getting into. So... the answer is no. However, I seem to be suffering the "I want this book" syndrome, and as a result, I end up with too many books to review.
